**When Should You Use Optase Hylo Night?**
You may find Optase Hylo Night beneficial when experiencing symptoms like burning, itching, dry eyes, or a foreign-body sensation. These discomforts can be due to various factors, including dry or air-conditioned environments, medication side effects, age, cigarette smoke, nighttime driving, or extended screen time.
Optase Hylo Night is designed to alleviate these symptoms and offer long-lasting protection for your eyes. It's formulated with a thicker consistency to be used before bedtime, ensuring relief from irritated eyes in the morning.
**How to Use Optase Hylo Night:**
- Apply without contacting your eyes or skin with the tube.
- Only use if the folding carton's sealing is intact.
- Remove the protective cap.
- Tilt your head back and gently pull the lower eyelid with one hand.
- Hold the tube upright above the eye with your other hand, instilling a strip of eye ointment without touching the eye or eyelid.
- Close your eye gently and blink normally.
- Replace the cap securely to prevent contamination.
**Further Application Recommendations:**
If used during the day, Optase Hylo Night may temporarily affect vision due to its thicker consistency. Avoid tasks requiring clear vision during this time.
Optase Hylo Night should not be used simultaneously with other ophthalmic drugs. If necessary, apply Optase Hylo Night approximately 30 minutes after using the other medication.
Please apply the eye ointment by gently pressing the tube without cracking or rolling it.
Optase Hylo Night is safe for use by children, pregnant, and breastfeeding women.
In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions like red, burning, itching eyes, or excessive tearing have been reported with Optase Hylo Night. These symptoms improved upon discontinuation of use.
**How Often and How Long to Use:**
The frequency depends on your symptoms. Typically, Optase Hylo Night is used once a day before bedtime, but for severe dry eye symptoms, it can be used up to three times a day in each eye.
